Graduate faculty of Power Engineering School

Introduction

The Graduate Faculty of Power Engineering aim to form possibilities for increasing the benefits of research, improving the quality of graduate program and making innovation among Mongolian graduate schools based on the main goal of Mongolian Governmental project "Development of research centered university" and the vision of MUST, says "To become an internationally obtained, open and the main basement of Mongolian science and technological development".

Basic Directions of the Activities:

1. Provide the training activities with connection and prepare the skillful researchers and cadres to solve the issues in Power Engineering.

2. The curriculum being implemented within masters and doctoral programs will be renewed to be flexible, and the activity aims at implementing the scientifically-grounded curriculum suitable for international standard based on condition of the relevant labor market.

3. Regarding the trends of a country development we will provide the integrity between the content of the curriculum and the research and will promote the research among branches.

4. Within the range of the training activity, a new curriculum for a graduate school will be introduced and closed by renewing the syllabus and its standard, and will be an implementer of student and teacher exchange programs.

5. Form a new culture for Research University and professors, students, and administrators are all collaborating to be innovators, and form the advanced research environment, and develop the collaboration between state and private universities.

6. Renew the research professor’s team within the scope of a project and in research and in its direction, found a start-up company and innovation centers, and take part in supporting foreign cooperation.

7. Enhance the knowledge of professors, form the teaching personnel from external and internal resources, employ the guest professors, and organize the complex activity aimed at forming the environment for performing the research.

8. Form the tenure system to enhance the human resource administration.

9. Selecting students for a graduate school, announcing scholarship program and involving students in it, employing a researcher for short and long term project, and supporting professors to be involved in international and domestic projects.

10. Short and long term training improving professional skill will be held and carry out the requested project, contract works and research works except training activities.

11. A fund will be established in order to support the research work of masters and doctoral students, and organize the implementation of research results in practice.

12. Researchers and professors will be involved in research scholarship program and the activity providing grants and supporting research works will also be held.

The activity from the graduate school is regulated by the legislation on higher education, science and technology and on innovation, and other relevant legal acts and the rules and regulations of MUST.
